Chasing the Prize - Champions Cup

In its seventh year, Empire Polo Club's Champions Cup finals look set to be just as good as years gone by with a great team line-up. The unique feature of this 8-goal tournament is its format, with major prize-money to be won. For each team's entry fee, the club matches the fee towards the prize money, culminating in a $40,000.00 prize fund being available to the final teams. 75% of the prize money goes towards the victorious team, whilst 25% goes to the runner-up, something rarely seen in low-goal polo.

Last year's champions Lockton are set to be in the final once more this Sunday and put up a tough fight against either STG or Tentnology, with their semi-final taking place tomorrow.

Lockton: Tim Kelly (A), Hernan Tejera (3), Bryan Middleton (3), Jim Wright (2)

STG: John Bickford (A), John Ziegler, Max Menini (5), Ignacio Deltour (3)

Rosevile Motor Cars: Eric Hammon (A), Rodrigo Salinas (3), Patrick Uretz (4), Cameron Smith (1)

Tentnology: Gery Warner (A), Nicolas Maciel (3), Mariano Gutierrez (4), Jessica Bailey (1)
