As polo continues to struggle to find its way forward in an uncertain future an independent movement is now underway in Argentina. A ten-member ‘Polo Union’ has been formed to elect a new President of the polo association and to make important changes to protect the future of the game.
They would like to have Eduardo Astrada as the new President of the AAP. Their mission is to strengthen the values of the sport including more transparency from within the association. They face a major dilemma before the election is held in May. There are 271 polo clubs in Argentina but only 21% of the member clubs will be eligible to vote.
