The Tortugas team took a 7-6 win Saturday over La Mancha in the Argentine Open Youth Championship in Palermo. It was their fourth consecutive win. Five teams from 16 to 24 goals competed, with players up to 21 years old.
Tortugas, with only one change in their lineup from their previous three winning rosters (Barto Castagnola for Isidro Strada), once again defeated La Mancha by one goal. Last year Tortugas won 10-9.
At the award ceremony, the president of the AAP, Eduardo Novillo Astrada awarded the Cup to Tortugas captain Segundo Bocchino. The Machi Trotz prize for the most valuable player, created by the AAP in memory of Máximo (who died in 1983 at the age of 20 after a polo accident) went to Juan M. Zubía, who received the award from Ernesto Trotz.
